Outline for this course
Introduction
"A lot of organisations are under the impression that the regulations do not affect them. This simply is not true. Age discrimination can affect employees of any age, not just the young and old.”
Rita Donaghy, Chair of the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS), 2006.
Age discrimination has an increasingly high profile in the work place, and it is vital that businesses understand the laws relating to it.
Age Awareness gives users a good basic understanding of the regulations and how they affect employers and employees. Managers who have completed the course will be able to help their business comply with age discrimination legislation and avoid the risk of legal proceedings.
